Selina McCartney, M.S.Ed. (she/her/hers)

Hi! I’m Selina, and I’m excited to welcome you to the next chapter of your therapy journey. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or you’ve been a client before, seeking help is a brave and vulnerable step towards healing.

I see the therapy process as a journey that we embark on together as opposed to a place where I provide you with a set of fixed solutions. My style is warm, compassionate, creative, emotion-focused, and authentic. I maintain a social justice focus in my practice, which means that I acknowledge that the systems we live in–our families, communities, and societies–are intertwined with our mental health, and something that we often must reckon with if we are to find what healing looks like for us.

I have a wide variety of experience, but I’m especially passionate about working with gen z and millennial clients on interpersonal difficulties, attachment and relationship concerns, self-esteem, and issues concerning sex and sexuality (anything from identity development to sexual dysfunction). I am familiar with all types of relationship structures, including non-monogamous and non-traditional partnerships, and I am LGBTQ+ affirming in my practice.

Please reach out if you’re interested in working together! I’d be honored to support you on your healing journey.

Please note: I am currently only accepting self-pay clients until I am approved to bill insurance.
